Worked well despite poor shipping packaging
Needs replacement for IDE DVD Burned my Dell Dimension 9100 and didn't want to try a SATA drive with an IDE to SATA adapter, so I was happy to find one of the few IDE DVD burners available. The LG GH22LP20 got good user reviews when it went on sale so I figured it would be a safe bet. The recorder arrived quickly but was tightly packed in a fitted box which was then stuffed into a Priority Mail box. the envelope. Because there was no seal, the drive was subjected to all the hard knocks during shipping. Luckily it wasn't hurt and is working fine. Your results may vary. This LG GH22LP20 comes blank with no instructions, software or installation hardware. I just used the screws from my old drive and replaced it. It worked great with my existing Nero 7 Essentials software and performed well in tests I ran using Nero DiskSpeed 4.
