After my previous cable shorted out I realized the main problem was the way I was holding my phone which caused it to bend sharply almost 90° because my phone's jack is at the bottom and the power cord exits to the left or right. A 90° fork solves this problem. It also has good retention, so if the cable needs to be bent it will do so carefully. I look forward to never having to twist the cable again to keep those little wires connected.
