Review on Stay Cool Anywhere with the Vornado Zippi Small ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Personal Fan โ€“ Desk, Nightstand, Travel Essential in Graphite Gray by April Mitchell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's a pretty cool fan (ha!)

I have two of these, one on my desk two to three feet from my face and another in my stereo cooling a very hot tube amp. The one behind the amp makes a bit more noise than a table fan for some reason, but I can barely hear it from ten feet away (in my listening position) and can't hear it at all when the music is playing, so no problem. Personal fan on the countertop, this product is fine. It's a hundred times less ugly than a typical plastic desktop fan (quite attractive in my opinion), relatively unobtrusive, and well built. Those are huge pluses. But the functionality is only three out of five. You have to twist your hand into a slightly odd position to flip the big switch on the back, and the breeze this thing creates is a help in my case - I could end the summer (even in Maine) with just not enough comfort get through this. Fan in my office. Since it is weak, it supplements a powerful pedestal fan with three "propellers". The Zippi's soft nylon(?) paddles, which are invisible while moving, are guaranteed not to hurt your fingers, but be prepared to be scared often if you accidentally touch them while reaching for something else. At $15, Zippi is a very good value.
