Review on CANWAY Portable Wood Burning Camping Stove - Windproof & Anti-Slip Stainless Steel Backpacking Survival Stove With Bag For Outdoor Hiking, Travel, Picnic, And BBQ by Dave Hock

Great stove! best in my review

Very happy with this stove. Achieved gasification in 3 minutes. Boiled 4 cups of water (4,800 foot elevation) in just under 10 minutes. Of course this is not as fast as a gas stove, but that's not the point. I am now at peace knowing that I can cook all the extra stuff we come upon while camping/backpacking (fish, mint leaf tea, Brigham tea, kids endless supply of hot cocoa, melted starburst, etc.) without worrying about fuel loss.I knew ahead of time my plans would be blackened by this stove. Rather than using my nicer gear (yes, I'm one of those that doesn't like his lighweight backpacking pans discolored), I use an older 6 cup aluminum Coleman pan (stove fits snugly inside). My unit weighs 15.94 oz. (including the mesh storage bag). I've read others claiming a weight of 1lb. 8 oz.not sure what unit they have. Mine is not that heavy.Considering purchasing a second unit. Because my children are the biggest users, I will make them carry it.

Pros
  • The stove is made from high-quality stainless steel and is windproof and anti-slip, making it a perfect choice for the outdoors
Cons
  • Not ideal for group cooking as it can only accommodate a small pot or pan
