I bought this to bring with me when I go camping. I have used it about 5 times so far since I have purchased it and I have to say that it is awesome! It is great that I do not have to buy fuel canisters any longer in order to heat up my water or food. The only downside to this is when it rains or has rained and the trees and ground get wet. Very happy with this stove. Achieved gasification in 3 minutes. Boiled 4 cups of water (4,800 foot elevation) in just under 10 minutes. Seems to be a well built product the pot stand holds a pot fairly well. The base is pretty sturdy on it and doesn’t get as hot as the rest of the stove while it’s burning. Tried 2 different tests to see how long it would burn. One test I tried adding 2 cups of wood pellets to it. I purchased the canway because it can be easily fed twigs and small pieces of wood. It is well made. Going ultra lite is not my deal but it weighs in at a little over a pound, I believe. Very simple design, even simpler to use. Boils covered water inside of 5 minutes, heats cast iron to searing capable temperatures. Perhaps one day they'll make movable vents to adjust the size of the flame, but for $20 shipped, this is the kind of device that should be going out in pallet loads for humanitarian aid missions. Haven't been able to truly use this yet. However it's at home in my mountain cook set. One thing I will say however is the canway stoves pot supports are a little on the flimsier side. If your a tinkerer it wouldn't be hard to fab some heavier duty supports. Or you could just build one on your own with the one you have as a template. However it seems to be a decent stove. Will update when item has been tested.

It is well designed to take a small place and after assembly, it gets tall and looks sturdy but the fact is the size which is good for a single person. I was thinking to buy it for days that we experience an electrical shortage to use but it is smaller than my palm hand! In the picture looks bigger with a pan on it but it is not. This was the lowest cost camp stove of many that are very similar or identical. However, the stove is of good quality and assembles easily. Using twigs that have fallen out of my backyard trees and very little alcohol I was able to get the stove burning quickly. I don't think I needed the alcohol, but it made lighting easy. I like the fact that it's sturdy and once burned the color change to copper. Lovely. I did take precaution when I tried this inside the house. I boiled water really quickly and it stays hot for a long time. I love that it's a higher profile so it's a little away from pots and pans. Remove the top part and you can get closer to fire.

I used this a couple times just to play around with. And it worked good. I have just brought this with me for camping over the weekend. I cooked hot dogs, eggs, potatoes, steak, toasted english muffins and boiled water in the kettle for coffee all using wood pellets the kind you would use in a pellet stove. Only issues I had was it's a little unstable with the pan I was using maybe the pan was too big? And a few times the pellets wouldn't burn completely but possibly an error on my part filling

The tablet burned well and sustained a flame for 10 minutes. On my Canway stove 1 tablet did not boil 12 ounces of water but brought it right to the edge of boiling. 2 tablets would most likely bring it to a boil. There is a definite oder when burning but it isn't terrible.

This is a really cool twig stove. I tested it out by cooking some hotdogs with it. It doesn't take long to get the wood gasification process going and then it burns smokeless and evenly. It's easy to assemble and to pack away. This is an essential piece of my camping gear!

This stove is great. Use wood or charcoal. I throw in a briquette or two with my wood so if flames do go out you can restart in a flash. This is the best $20. stove you will ever get. The gasifier action works great. I have this and the Firebox Nano and I'm good to go. The Canway can serve up to 4 people no problem!

Powerful little stove! I've used it for my "cowboy coffee" and also to cook a steak on a cast-iron skillet. Small, but hot! Does it leave soot on your cookware? Yes, it does but that is not a deal breaker for me. This does require attention, as you must steadily feed it sticks/wood. One just cannot light it and walk away.
