I wouldn't call this shower head "massive" unless you are very thin and small. There are larger shower heads on the market that offer a much larger area of coverage. This one fits and offers enough coverage, but it doesn't give you a full body shower. I had to remove the flow restrictor and it made a huge difference. I was nervous about taking it but ended up having to go after it. If you want to remove it, the easiest way (that I've found) is to use a drill bit, which is smaller and fits into the white piece of plastic you see in the middle when you look at the shower head from above. Drill a bit and then pull up and it will pop right out. Also, the reviewer who recommended using a shower extension of at least 15 inches turned out to be correct. I would even suggest 18 inches would be better if you can find it. Depends on your shower type and setup. Overall, this isn't a bad shower head, but I think my future shower head purchases will be in the 12 inch range, not the 8 inch range like this one.
