6-Pack of 75-Watt Halogen R111 Reflector GU10 Flood Light Bulbs Review

I haven't had perfect lightbulbs that went in and out of style. I paid good money for retro/industrial lighting for my kitchen when it was being remodeled and these bulbs were everywhere. Now big stores sell them individually at a premium. This bulk purchase was more profitable. I'm wondering how much I should hide as I love my lights and don't want the hassle of replacing them.

So far so good. I installed two of these lamps and after a couple of weeks they are still working. These appear to be the same bulbs I bought from the famous hardware store we originally bought them from, but at a much lower price. I am satisfied so far and it looks like I will buy them again in the future. The pears were packaged very well!

Years ago I bought track lighting for my kitchen from Lowe's. The lights use these bulbs that Lowe's (the only place they sold them) discontinued. I've bought other bulbs from other sources that were either the wrong size or didn't work. I finally found these lightbulbs that are conveniently sold in cases and they ALL work and fit perfectly! I just bought a second case to make sure I have spares.

I only bought the original Lowes fitting for these lamps a few years ago. So I went to Laws to buy a lightbulb when one had just died. I was shocked to learn that they no longer sell this line of products and cannot help me with lamp replacement recommendations. So I checked Revain and there they were. Nobody in the area, including Home Depot, had them. I was disappointed as the light strips I bought from Lowes weren't cheap. I was so grateful to Revane for finding the lightbulbs I needed.

It's hard to find a light bulb at the right price, so I'm glad I found this one. Yes it's halogen and it burns hard and fast but the color is good and the dimming works well. It has the correct form, fit and function as advertised and is well packaged. Yes, it's made in China, but it's reliable. Most lights that use this bulb just don't look right with a suggested "replacement" LED. We've been buying these bulbs for years but in the last 6 months 2 of them have exploded, shattering the glass and scattering pieces around the room. In both cases we were lucky to be far enough away to avoid serious injury. After the first one exploded, we just assumed it was a lemon. These lightbulbs are definitely cheaper than Bulbright brand ones, but this is the first one to explode! One of them exploded with such force that the outer glass lens shattered and glass splattered everywhere. I hope it's a one off thing as I've installed them in different lights and now I'm a bit worried. I have never reviewed a product before but feel compelled to do so after seeing these replacement PAR Lights. I can see from some of the other reviews that I'm not the only one who has had this experience with these lamps.
