Review on 6-Pack of 75-Watt Halogen R111 Reflector GU10 Flood Light Bulbs by Jerry Mackey

I have never reviewed a product before but feel compelled to do so after seeing these replacement PAR Lights. I can see from some of the other reviews that I'm not the only one who has had this experience with these lamps. A month or two ago, one of those lights in our overhead kitchen light exploded, showering my wife who was cooking and all surrounding surfaces with thousands of tiny pieces of glass. When I say exploded, I'm not exaggerating! Loud explosion! Chips on every surface! Nothing bigger than ¼ inch! Needless to say, a heap of good food was thrown away and hours were spent protecting my wife and cleaning the entire kitchen from top to bottom. Well, any product can have a defective block. . It is an unfortunate fact of the times we live in that the same product will have the same defect TWICE from the same batch of product. Well, it's just not normal. And that's exactly what happened again last night. Luckily no one was in the kitchen at the time. Despite the same routine of throwing out otherwise impeccable food, hours go by cleaning the kitchen of millions of tiny broken pieces of glass. . Foil to make sure I didn't damage the glass bowl with leather oil so I really don't think that's the problem. Please save yourself the trouble. A product from a company called KOR Lighting. It is referred to as the R111/GU10. , I will notify the New York State Consumer Product Safety Authority and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
