good really waterproof but run into trouble

With a plastic frame it doesn't win a beauty contest. (It actually looks more like plastic than aluminum than it does in the picture.) But the mechanism is covered by a strong, sealed caseback. Virtually water resistant, unlike other water resistant watches which are actually splash proof. The thermometer mechanism is in a sealed compartment so it doesn't react quickly to temperature changes, but I don't mind that. arrived, the mechanism tilted and stopped working when the hand touched the face. I found what should have been obvious: the mechanism was held in place by three plastic fingers inside the case, but the mechanism was angled without engaging the third finger. I was able to insert it quickly and it locked firmly into place. Assuming I haven't already damaged the gears by slapping my face with my hand, you should be fine by now, but be prepared to complete your purchase yourself. It sits comfortably on a bathroom shelf, and even with my moderate myopia, I can see the time from about 5 feet away. Despite a shower that was too hot and too long, the face did not fog up and, above all, it did not start to fog up from the inside. It has a small plastic rectangle that fits into a slot in the back, forming a base that allows it to sit nicely on a flat surface, although it can also be wall mounted. Update: Nine months old and he's still going strong. I didn't submerge it in water, but it didn't mind long steam showers at all. No trace of moisture inside. No fogging inside and out.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • poorly thought out
