My dishwasher is 15 years old. They no longer produce or sell the top shelf. I had a few rust spots. I've watched several videos with tips/tricks. This kit is pretty simple. I cut and sand down any rust spots. On the outside I applied the first coat, the caps came in handy for rust spots that needed to be trimmed away. The Goop also worked well on its own for areas that didn't need to be cut but only lightly sanded. This product needs to be processed quickly. It will start to harden if you leave the jar open for a while. I waited 24 hours. I took the stand out. I retouched a few dots and noticed a few extra dots that looked a bit weak. I also coated them with a sticky mass. I waited another 24 hours, inspected it again and touched it up again. You probably won't need it, it's just me. I waited another 24 hours to use it. More than 5 months have passed. Goop went great! I highly recommend this product!
