The hook is too small to fit on the pipe.

The snap hook needs to be attached to the water pipe that runs from the wall to the shower. My pipe is a standard 1 inch pipe. Opening the hook gap only allows half an inch of wiggle room. That's why I can't use the radio in the shower. I have used it for other purposes as it is portable and has a good stand. But the whole block is smaller than I thought and I can't use it where it's supposed to be.
