Wow, when you let your hair down, you can't live without these combs. They've been around for a LONG time, at least since the 1950's, and with good reason! They really hold the hair and stay in it. They are soft and not brittle. I don't think you could nail it if you tried. They also hold a lot of hair. I just pulled the hair up on the sides and they kept the small hairs on the bottom of the parting and all the hair on the wide side of the parting. I can't wait to try them on my french roll. I don't use them for Rock a Billy style, but I understand that they are good for that.
