Review on 🔒 Twist-Lock Suction Cup Base with Ball by RAM MOUNTS by James Davis

I've always considered RAM the benchmark for quality fasteners. However, this was a disappointment. The spherical part is separated from the base. You have to twist the two together yourself. That wouldn't be a problem, but the base is plastic, which just isn't durable. After a few months, the base and assembly of the ball began to loosen. Once this happens there isn't much you can do as the plastic holes that the screws go into will expand and cause the screws to fail. I tried to solve this problem by putting wood shavings in the holes to tighten the screws. It worked for a while, but again the plastic base failed. Now I'm dealing with a new problem. The locking socket for the suction cup is completely released until it no longer works. I really liked this mount and it was great while it lasted. It just doesn't take that long. If you're lucky, you might get a year off it.
