I wish I had checked the reviews before purchasing. I usually do. For some reason I didn't, and now I have another piece of junk and a few bucks down the drain. well, i learned the lesson again. In fact, I can salvage the battery from it. Hooray! The compass seemed to work at first and I bought it for use in unfamiliar locations. since it doesn't happen very often I put it off until I left town a few months later and it seemed to be "stuck" in the Northwest. Everywhere I turned he told me I was going northwest. thought there might be something in the car; still on NW wherever I try. The "wheel" didn't get stuck as I could see it "wiggle" and it never felt like a "hard stick". tried it when i got home, same thing. put it on the counter to solve later and after a few weeks it seemed to work!?!? but not for long! stuck again, this time on E! same as before. So I decided it was time to write a review and then report it. I'll probably disassemble it. just for fun! Definitely don't buy it!
