DO NOT FOLLOW THE TANK IF YOU DON'T SEE THEM IN A FEW DAYS. I found out that there is a dye in the egg pouch that makes them more visible, but that wears off after a few days. On the 8th day I was able to see her again after her "lucid phase". My sea monkeys started hatching within minutes after following the directions and doing their own research after reading the reviews. I used my Pur filter on the sink with 1 pack instead of buying bottled water. Plastics (especially BPA-free ones) can release microplastics inside them, which I consider harmful to them as they pollute the oceans and kill aquatic life. Also, the kit doesn't even mention the purple air pump (Aqua-Leash) and its purpose. You need to aerate the water once or twice a day by inserting about 10-12 pumps into the water, otherwise they will be deprived of oxygen. I pumped air before adding the Instant Life pack. Also, I would like to point out that the dimensions in the description are correct (about 7.5 inches tall) and the lock looks MUCH larger after you add water to the tank.
