Review on 🌟 Enhance and Protect with Renaissance Wax Polish 65ml: The Ultimate Solution for Brilliant Shine by Jennifer Dunn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used by museums and conservationists around the world. And I

Renaissance Wax was originally developed for the British Museum in London to revitalize and protect antiquities and artifacts. It is a microcrystalline wax obtained from oil refining. Luckily, it's also available for regular home use to protect our own valuables from the damaging effects of moisture, heat, dust, environmental degradation, aging and normal wear and tear. Thanks to its high moisture resistance, it creates a barrier against the above threats while creating a durable glossy finish. It can be used on wood, metal, leather, stone and many other treated surfaces. Renaissance Wax does not leave a sticky surface, nor does it leave fingerprints as easily as many other waxes. I also like that it doesn't fade or discolor over time. While I have used it on some of our most prized antiques, I primarily use it as a protective coating on metal objects (both jewelry and other works of art) and as a wax coating on some oil paintings. A NOTICE. If used as a final finish on oil paintings, the paint should dry for at least 6-9 months (longer if thick impasto) and a finished coat of varnish applied/cured before waxing. . Prevents tarnishing and corrosion on jewelry and other metal products. On older items, it cleans first, removing dirt and other wax residue and leaving a thin, hard protective film on the surface. This is great for shiny metal surfaces like drawer handles, helping them retain their shine and not oxidize. Conversely, for metal items that have been oxidized to a beautiful patina (either natural or artificial), this wax will protect the appearance by preventing the appearance from changing. It depends, it's not a typo on the product page. This Renaissance wax comes in a tiny 2.25 oz. Container. So yes, it's expensive, but I think it's worth paying the extra for something that works so well and is used by museums around the world. The only downside is the smell, which slowly disappears after about 24 hours of use.
