Now that working from home is (unfortunately) dying down, it suddenly occurred to me that it would be nice if my work life didn't take up our living room. I used a sad tray and worked from our couch (very comfortable). I've since added a bluetooth keyboard and mouse so my laptop is really just a monitor. Anyway, I figured I could attach it to a side table and then flip the laptop over when I'm not working or using it. I think it would mostly work for this purpose, except for a few issues in my space: a) The side table didn't have a big enough lip. I thought I could get away with pinching most of my arm, but I don't think it'll really work long-term unless it gets loose and wobbly at times. Not the fault of the product. b) Our sofa is quite large with very high and wide armrests which meant the armrest didn't really reach far enough for me to sit down and face forward while looking at the laptop. should be much lower (6 inches to 30 cm?) than you want your screen to sit. I attached it to a table that is about shoulder height when seated. This meant that the arm, fully extended, held the screen above the head. I had to look up to see him, which I think would be a bad idea in the long run. So think about the height of your table in relation to the position of the screen. As far as materials go, it seemed pretty durable to me. Since I used a laptop holder, it was easy to assemble. Some but not all parts are metal. Overall I would recommend it to a friend but really thought about where to go and how to use it. I'm bringing this back for a more expensive mobile table with adjustable height and swivel top for knees. Above. I probably should have jumped on this a year ago, but you know how to do it.
