This is a Kato Emergency Radio Review KA580 Digital Solar Dynamo Crank Wind Up AM/FM Radio NOAA Weather Radio with Real Time Alert MP3 Player and Phone Charger in Black. The best emergency radio I have ever used and as stated in the description above it does a great job. This radio is so versatile and has a micro SD card reader that supports MP3 and WMA files. There's also a headphone jack and USB in and out for bi-directional charging. If necessary, the radio has a handle. You can use batteries (AA) or solar power and a lithium battery. Also on the left is a dial with two options - for a flashlight and for a siren. Please don't repeat my mistake by trying at night and accidentally pressing the siren lever - my husband almost had a heart attack. At least I know it's very loud. Aside from its versatility, it looks good and feels durable. But what makes it exceptional to me is the quality of the AM signal. We live about 100 miles from Los Angeles and we had no trouble connecting to their main KNX news channel - I can't even connect it to my car. So I highly recommend it for the above reasons. And all at a reasonable price.
