Super small, super worthy!

Simple enough! Throw away the old drive and come in with a new one. It turned out even smaller than I expected. I just installed it, so I don't know about the long-term life yet.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

Works memory card accessory

What can I say, does its job well. Mine came with a standoff and screw in a pocket that wasn't attached to the board, just so you know.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great device! for memory card adapter

I had no idea that I could upgrade the SSD on my Macbook Pro model A1708 (2016), so I jumped at the chance when I heard about it. Easy to install, just pay attention to the edges of the bottom panel when removing. It's incredibly thin and the corners on the back of the device near the screen are incredibly sharp, and the force required to move the bottom panel could result in injury. Be careful!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Negative impression

They want this update

Switching from a 1TB hard drive, adding a PCIe drive, and booting a Mac Mini from that new drive is like buying a new computer. The speed boost is incredible. Make sure in advance that you have a port on your computer to plug in this card and you should be up and running in about an hour.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • for a long time

Perfect fit for memory card adapter

Got this for my Macbook Pro because they claim the new Macbook is soldered. I have a soldered generation so I got it and replaced my SSD with a 512GB one and it has been working great for a few months now.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Nothing here

NOT compatible with A1707.

I read it carefully and the description clearly says: β€’ "Compatible with: MacBook Pro 2016/2017 13 inch A1708 A1707 A1706". A NOTICE. **A1707** is included in this listing. There is no doubt that it can work with other models, but it does not and CANNOT work with the A1707 as the memory for this MacBook Pro is soldered to the motherboard. There are no removable drives or backup options. I found out AFTER I bought the adapter and sent it back.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Functionality

Works but has limitations

This inexpensive replacement for an expensive Apple hard drive works but is not without the problems others have mentioned. My 2017 Macbook A1708 does not restart correctly with this drive adapter and hibernation no longer works. Also, it won't boot from the hard drive when my power cord is plugged into the rear Thunderbolt port. However, I use a 1TB SSD for a fraction of the cost of an Apple HD. I just shut down instead of rebooting and don't go to sleep. Anyway, I mostly run W10 Home via…

Pros
  • Memory card adapter
Cons
  • Out of fashion

My system could no longer recognize the internal Apple SSD. I used this adapter to replace my internal Apple SSD with a generic NVMe SSD (Sabrent) and in the process upgraded to 1TB of storage (up from 256GB). So far everything is working great EXCEPT I can't restart my system. I CAN turn it off and on again (no problem), but I just can't restart it - the computer just shuts down when you try to restart the computer. I'm okay with this little issue because my computer is running again and I now

Pros
  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
