Nice case and yes you can add a fan inside

First I want to say I love this case and have had no problems with it. Second, I want to correct the person in the question and answer section who said you can't install a fan. Manufactured internally with minimal modifications. The only thing I had to change on the case itself was to remove a couple of protruding plastic protrusions that didn't seem to make any sense unless they were for some other accessory I don't have. Be sure to see my photos on my internal fan and the image of the zoomed out area. Also, you need to have a fan of the right size, or in other words, it needs to be small enough. The one I used came from a laptop I believe. I had to modify this particular fan as there was a lot of unnecessary casing and metal attached to it that should have connected it in its previous unit but was not required for the fan to operate. So I removed everything unnecessary, leaving only the fan, its main body, and the cables. It actually had 3 wires (red, black and yellow) but only black and red are used so I also removed the yellow wire so it doesn't get in the way. Finally, as you can see from the photos, the wires are tape wrapped since I didn't have an actual GPIO wire at the time, so I used tape to allow the wires to slide around the GPIO pins and make a good connection . I also used hot glue to attach the fan to the case. Tested with fan, everything works. The fan runs when the device is switched on. Photo 1 shows the inner case with fan. Photo 2 shows a closed case with a fan visible through the vents. Photo 3 shows the parts of the case that need to be removed to install the fan.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
