This is not a true pulley system with tension

The entire point of using a pulley system is to be able to lower and raise something you cannot reach, right? With this product you have to be able to reach the hook to either lock or unlock a switch to raise or lower what you have hanging. Defeats the entire purpose. If I could reach it in the first place I would not have bought this. Total waste of time and money. Note before you buy, this pulley does not lower or raise with tension. It has a lock and unlock switch that you will not be able to reach unless you have a ladder. So why have the pulley in the first place if ladder is needed?

Pros

With a 5-foot reach, these plant pulley hangers provide ample distance for hanging items in hard-to-reach areas

Cons

The pulleys may be too noisy when being used
