I got two for my hurricane kit and have since purchased four more to ship to friends and family in Puerto Rico.The dual design worked great during the brief power outage at my house during hurricane Irma (about 12 hours, but I only needed light for about 3 or 4). The flashlight was perfect for moving around the house or when looking for something, especially in the pantry. The lantern is ridiculously bright. Frankly, it does hurt if you look directly into the light.My only wish is that they had a low-energy option to maximize battery life. I have rechargeable AA batteries and regular power. But, my family members in Puerto Rico have been without power since hurricane Maria (over three weeks and counting). They have to charge using their cars or, if they ever arrive, the solar chargers that I sent. But, good price-to-quality value and performance.
