The chances of you finding a genuine replacement permanent filter for your device are like winning the lottery. Now you'll have to settle for these aftermarket types that don't have a mesh and aren't a true HEPA filter (or at least don't look anything like it). These filter elements are disposable and have paper fins without a screen. They work, but probably not as well as the original OEM. The only thing I don't like about these replacement parts (and other similar brands) is that the paper element is so dense that it hardly draws any air compared to the OEM, so the fan gets a heavier load and whines a little higher. I would buy again because I have no choice and the fact is all competing brands are similar if any different.
