I was about to spend a few hundred bucks on another mirror when I saw the replacement ads, read some reviews, was told I would have to remove all the broken glass before I could get a replacement install, said it didn't hold up well so figured it was worth a try before it came. I went and bought auto silicone. It came, I evaluated it, it fits and it's real glass so I took my pry tool and it took me a while to clear the broken glass it's real glass and it's sharp I didn't want to cut myself to get a few Saving dollars, removed all adhesive pads from mirror, smeared the silicone liberally with my tool thinking I'd only get one chance, positioned the replacement, squeezed until some silicone appeared on the sides, cleaned with my tool, still Hold it exactly as this mirror was perfect again for about 5 minutes
