Review on Fiskars 6 Inch Orange Travel 🔪 Folding Scissors: Compact & Portable Cutting Tool by Angela Rodriguez

Like many others, I've been a Fiskars fan for a long time. Based on my previous positive experience with this brand, this product does not meet Fiskars standards. The scissors are fine when I lay them out or cut - just "good" because although the scissors work, the finger loops are uncomfortable for me to use. But that is not the reason for my negative rating. I expect a pair of folding shears to protect fingers properly when the tool is folded or unfolded. It's not like this. When folded it is very easy to run a sharp edge or two over the finger loops and into the skin (see attached image). If I'm very careful I can find a workaround for this problem, but why should I? If Fiskars can come up with a better design -- like making the hinges deeper and using larger shields to hold the blades -- it will better protect the consumer from injury without the risk and hassle of a workaround.
