Absolutely perfect. I took two large thin metal salad bowls and made them into bathroom sinks and they were great except the water tended to rise and overflow. Also, the paint peeled off after a while. So I bought this product and not only does it look GREAT, it serves two purposes: prevent spatter and protect the rim. It stays in place, but can be removed with some effort. Definitely won't get loose from occasional use. I'm also sure it will work great to protect people from the sharp edges of sheet metal, which it was designed for.
