This product has been a great find. Husband appreciates the labor saving as he didn't have to clean the roasting pan after cooking. Just throw away the insert. We recently camped where there was no water other than the limited amount we could take and cleaning up was an easy task as there was no water at all.The depth and diameter of the stakes were perfect for our 12 -inch lodge roaster, with the rim of the insert sitting on the top edge of the broiler pot and sandwiched between the pot and the lid. For a change, we didn't have a sting in any of the recipes we've made, including Mississippi mud pie, banana bread, and different types of casseroles. I don't know if we should acknowledge our improvement in Dutch Oven skills or those liners. :) Anyway, will n we cook all our future dishes with these inserts in a brazier. They are cool.
