Review on 🌡️ Dorman 599-211 Climate Control Module for Specific Vehicle Models by Bobby Aghetoni

HVAC Control Module Dorman 599-211 purchased 20th January 2020 Physically as advertised; However, it does not work as advertised as an OEM: 1. The product does not automatically sync for driver and passenger when the car button is held down. Auto mode is available on every page but will not be synced. The OEM control module has synchronized the temperature and put itself into Auto mode by holding the Auto.2 button. When the car is started and the engine has not warmed up to operating temperature, the device works (in automatic mode at a temperature of 72) at full power. The OEM part did not automatically increase the fan speed until the vehicle reached operating temperature when there was a heat request.3. When operating in heating mode and setting auto mode on both sides to 72. The device randomly blows out cold and warm air. It seems to be constantly switching from warm to cold. Follow point 3 above, leaving the module out of auto mode and setting the fan to fixed speed will not correct the temperature variation/cycle.5. I bought this unit because my factory HVAC control module did not have working lights. While I'm very happy that the new device's bulbs are working properly, they are actually distractingly bright. To make it less distracting, I have to dim all of the other dash lights to achieve this. Assuming this was because the other gauges on the dash weren't working, I bought and installed all the new dash controls hoping that all the switches and knobs on the dash would be constantly lit. The HVAC module remains exceptionally bright compared to other new dash switches/indicators.6. I replaced the original HVAC control module due to a light failure on the unit. The OEM unit worked fine except the indicators on some buttons didn't work.7. I have checked the programming of the module according to the instructions on the device packaging and I believe that the device is programmed correctly.
