I installed this on my 2006 GMC Sierra SLT. After programming, the device initially worked as intended. Then I discovered some things that don't suit me. The temperature controller on my original stopped working properly so I ordered it. OEM is $500 so I figured it would be the best alternative. It's pretty easy to install. Remove instrument panel, unscrew 2 screws, disconnect and then reinstall in reverse order. There are also some programming hints in the box that you should pay attention to.
