Disappointed at first when trying the light in the kitchen; it appeared yellowish and didn't shine much brighter than some of my less expensive bulbs. I prefer whiter light that appears brighter. Then I took it outside and wow I was impressed. It's obvious that the engineer paid a lot of attention to the optics, as they have a nice soft spot for excellent peripheral vision. This light completely illuminates my garden. Whether you're a homeowner trying to see what happened at night or a LEO cleaning a room or garden, you'll love this light. While I still prefer whiter light, if I had to buy another light at this price point, I would buy another Streamlight 88065. I was so impressed with the Streamlight 88065 that I bought the Streamlight Protac HL5-X series with 3500 lumens output. it's insanely bright. If you want something bigger and brighter, give it a go. Now I'm a fan of Streamlight.
