--- Update 08/24/18 Okay, the good news is that it works. The sound is about right. It's nowhere near the quality of Skype or FaceTime, but acceptable. So far, the Google Voice integration works flawlessly. However, we have three main problems: 1- The sound quality is NOT acceptable when using a regular headset plugged into the jack on the right. There is a lot of background noise, crackling,. Not very comfortable. 2- The call sometimes starts slowly. I have no idea if the problem is related to ObiHai or Google Voice. But I had a couple of calls where the phone didn't ring but called other devices connected to the same GV.3- The UI is annoying. It could be a lot better. Someone with limited UI/UX experience coded this thing. Entering a phone number is tiny and looks out of place. You might expect this type of IU in the 80's or 90's, but not nowadays. Screen real estate is mostly wasted. As with my original review, you don't always have to have Settings/Preferences/About/Lines in front of you. I have a Polycom at work and with a much smaller screen they were able to get key information clearer. The screen is very bright and since it doesn't have any useful information other than showing the time, I turned the screen off. However, if you miss a call, the screen is off! A little green light would be nice to let you know you missed a call when you return to your desktop. Or flash the top light? - As a screen saver, why not display a nice full-screen analogue clock (perhaps coupled with a digital clock?). And if someone misses a call, check the box on the welcome screen. - Keep the screensaver simple, I don't want it to become a distracting slideshow on my desktop! Another thing mentioned in the last review: - The overly bright red mute button was sealed with some electrical black tape. Still lots of red light around to remind me if I'm muted. --- Original review Just received 1062 today. I thought it would look like a good business phone. Not quite. Out of the box it looks like a solid piece of plastic. Desktop printing is quite large. And compared to other business-class phones, this one looks pretty cheap (design, choice of plastic, buttons, etc.). Wi-Fi setup was unable to connect to network 'N'. He combined perfectly with 'G'. The Oitalk/Google language setting caused you to switch between multiple screens, but it worked. It's good. The phone's home screen must have been designed by a "geek". Why do you have "preferences”, "settings” and "product information” in front of you all day? They should be in a submenu somewhere. But not the dial icon? So much more can be done with such a large color screen! I have yet to test the sound quality but the call on the Otalk test line was pretty bad. I will report later on the quality of the voice transmission. Another annoying detail: when you press the mute button, a bright red indicator lights up. It's too bright and too distracting. I'll probably cover it with tape to reduce its brightness. What is the default administrator password? I assume that I am the owner of the device.
