I was really hoping they would have better quality from another supplier with a significant price increase. Two years ago, as a convenience, I bought my Motorola CLS1110 walkie-talkie to oversee its use and care at the farm and ranch store, where two-way radios are treated differently but with care. I started using "hidden" headsets because I could hear better than the store-bought "front-hook" models that didn't irritate my ear. The first of the two I got up and running took about a week and the second was DOA. I thought my radio was broken until I tried the new "hook" my manager gave me. It's perfect and my radio is fine. For some reason a manufacturer making them at such a low price makes them completely unreliable. Going back to hidden headphones, it will be Motorola, or better yet, let my hearing temper a little.
