I bought this for my husband to use at work. Sometimes he has to spend some time outdoors at a work site and it reeks havoc on his arthritis in his hands. I really expected him to wear them under his work gloves, but they are actually fine on their own. They work so much better than expected and are plenty warm enough. He can pull his work gloves on top of them if he needs to for work, but they are definitely warm enough on their own. The battery pack isn't too bulky or awkward. The charge time isn't bad and the battery life is excellent.
