The cleanest way to drink liquids. But small straws can break small pieces of glass.
This is glass and it can and will break. I broke two glass straws a small glass cylinder. It was almost imperceptible. Luckily I noticed this after drinking about half a glass of liquid. So be sure to check the hoses on the long end, especially if you have ice in a mug or other container. I feel the ends of the glass straw with my fingers. It's easier than looking at it. Fingers are unlikely to be cut. But no guarantees.
