Review on Eco-Friendly Kitchen Island With Wheels, Pull-Out Drawer, Cabinet, Shelf, And Sturdy Natural Hardwood Surface In White Hue by Monica Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Instructions are lacking.

I put together a lot of IKEA furniture, and I've learned to appreciate pictographs as a way of getting around language barriers when conveying assembly instructions. That being said, the assembly instructions for this cart leave a lot to be desired. They COMPLETELY neglect to call out the ridges that the back of the cabinet needs to slide into. You could very easily assemble this with the ridges facing the wrong direction. They also combined too many steps into a single picture. Squinting at a tiny picture to see how six different parts need to come together simultaneously is a recipe for disaster.I'm fairly experienced putting these types of things together, but even I had a couple mis-steps. I got it together in the end, and it's stable enough (material is very thin, but overall piece appears to be sturdy enough to support my microwave), but this wasn't an experience that I'm eager to repeat. Was planning on buying a second cart for the opposite end of my kitchen to hold a toaster oven, but I think I'll find something else instead.

Pros
  • The Eco-Friendly Kitchen Island provides a convenient workspace for meal preparation and entertaining guests
Cons
  • The natural hardwood surface may not be suitable for cutting or chopping, as it may damage the surface
