I mounted them on a pair of code RSC, do not know about comfort but I will talk about protection. I bought these after a friend told me about his injury where a brake lever blade left a 3 inch cut on his inner thigh. He showed me the photos and recovered within 6 months. They form a soft protrusion on the ends of the brake levers to keep them from protruding.
