This is a pretty good replacement for your outdated/dull/non-working standard radio. The package arrived intact, but it has a really annoying protective film on it that I can't seem to get off. It's just plug and play, and don't forget to solder or crimp the two blue antenna wires if you want to improve your radio signal! I kept my radio. outside the car and check if it works. I didn't know which CANBUS my VW has and according to the instructions there are two ways to connect the adapter. So I noticed that if the two cables that come with the adapter remain connected, the radio does not turn off after removing the key. However, once disabled, the radio will turn off properly as soon as the key is removed. CarPlay works and everything seems fine! There will likely be an update in a few months or when the radio has problems/stops working.
