I had no urgent need to use this charger. I dropped something on my original charger and it worked. It eventually failed and I had to use this charger. It did not work. He's been sedentary for several months, but sedentary doesn't mean he shouldn't work. It is also not a genuine Microsoft product. It looks nothing like the original charger that came with my Surface Pro 4. There is no label anywhere to indicate that it is a Microsoft product. I'm past the return deadline so I think I've run out of the $40 or so I paid for it. I do not recommend buying this product and going directly to the Microsoft website for it.
