Easy to connect and use. I have installed 3 of these blocks in table and floor lamps and all 3 worked great when using incandescent bulbs at the time. The small size of the dimmer is a plus for limited space. Would recommend to a friend! Please note that this dimmer is actually only suitable for incandescent and halogen bulbs, not LED or energy efficient LED bulbs as stated on the Revain site. This is stated directly on the plastic body of the dimmer as shown in the picture. If you try to use this step dimmer with an LED lamp, you may encounter problems such as flickering. This symptom can be minimized or eliminated by connecting a 100 kΩ, 1 W resistor across the lamp terminals. This solution was tested with a 60W dimmable Philips LED lamp and a 100W Ecosmart dimmable LED lamp. Make sure the lamps are marked as dimmable. Warning, this solution has only been attempted with the two lamp types mentioned and is an attempt at your own risk. There may be other fixes available for this problem that can be found online.
