Sketchy craftsmanship, inferior materials, junk. They seem to be much more important than they are. Upon arrival you will see that the outer mesh layer is a transparent mesh. The orange dots on the bowl are just decoration held in the bowl by the paper backing. The pads themselves are held in place by two elastic Velcro straps. But the materials are so loosely bonded together that they create a lousy fit that just won't hold up. Fit wise they fit my 65lb 7 year old son very well with room to grow. But I don't suppose they will serve him very long until he grows up. I bought them for a special price of $10. I let my sons disassemble and throw them away, and they might get rid of a scraped knee or elbow first. Photos are attached for a closer look at the materials used.
