I really like this idea, but it didn't work. You need to slide it into the door jamb and apply enough pressure to hold it in place. Unfortunately I have clamshell style door frame moldings so they don't have much surface area to grip. When I try to compensate it tighter, my door frame pops and creaks, but it still won't hold. The locking ring isn't set fine enough so I have to go too far and break the door frame trim or loosen it enough that it keeps falling out. I can try to change it or block the door or send it back.
