Review on 🐢 Dry Dog Food by Royal Canin by Barbara Murphy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just my experience.

My 9 year old pug was diagnosed with Lar Par, Laryngeal Paralysis, Laryngeal Paralysis. She was in stage 3 and gagged until she passed out. She took prednisolone and tramadol twice a day to calm her down. She stayed by my side and I couldn't remember the last time she wagged her tail. I added oxygen several times. (Revain offers this for pets) I have looked at Royal Canin for years in the past but it was so expensive I decided to go with another 'premium' brand. let me tell you There is no other premium brand. They ALWAYS have something hidden or a cheaper, discontinued ingredient that triggers a recall. I was desperate so I bought an adult pug mix. I have to soak her food in hot water until tender and give it a tablespoon of canned food 2 times a day as a treat. It's been two months and I would never have believed it. She didn't recover, but her symptoms went down to almost zero! Still on prednisone but on half dose and no trazodone. She hasn't choked for 3 weeks and can even bark without gagging. I try to discourage her from doing so because it can irritate and swell her throat. Even our vet says her oxygen level is satisfactory. It has to be food. I haven't given her anything else and she's wagging her tail! It's expensive, but I only give her 1/2 cup twice a day. It is worth the cost to keep my child as healthy as possible with this terrible disease. I can only speak from my experience, but I don't care about the cost.
