This case is made specifically for the Microsoft Surface Book. The presence of magnetic fasteners on both sides of the case allows you to use it in tablet mode (only with a screen) or as a laptop. In the tablet version, the magnetic power cord runs along the edge of the screen and tucks neatly under the magnetic case cover that runs along the screen (which is a nice touch and prevents the cable from accidentally disconnecting if I'm using the screen while I'm on in it sits the living room). With this cover I started to use my typewriter more and I like it much better. Excellent purchase.
