Too much effort for nothing
Software updates were cumbersome, time-consuming and in the end couldn't do anything with the car. Software updates crashed halfway through. He connected to the machine but couldn't do anything. Wasting hours downloading updates and restarting the computer only to cause it to fail again and again.
