The leather is really sturdy but this is the second time I buy this bag. The first suitcase was ruined by my daughter so I'm not buying it again because it broke but because something happened to my old one. My old one was about 2 years old. The only major issue with this case is that the little magnetic strap that keeps your phone closed has the wrong kind of edges. So when you bend it over, the wax coating on the edges keeps the leather from fraying. will come off and you can't do anything about it.
