Review on Klipsch R-820F Black Outdoor Acoustic System by Bima ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

Initially, I aimed at the 8000th series, but there were opinions that the differences from the 800th were small. Because finally, a high-fi salon appeared in our city - I went and listened for myself, at the same time I compared it with oberons (the same level) and opticons (dorje) from Dali, to which there was also interest. As it turned out, to my ears, the speakers all play at a very close level of quality, but I liked the clips a little (quite a bit) more. And from the two series of clips, I did not hear any serious differences between the "hundredth" and the thousandth series (despite the fact that the difference in price is twofold!). The main thing I paid attention to was the detail and the overall presentation, because. The bass quality of such similar systems is much more determined by the room than by the speakers. As a result, I did not find a reason to overpay for the older line, limited myself to the 820s. I listen for a week, everything is fine. Basically they are for me for movies, but for tests and music they drove pretty well. The speakers have good detail, and do not have any pronounced shortcomings. So far they play from the old yamaha res, the new one goes, but the old one in the "direct" sounds good. In general, I look with . um . "skepticism" at audiophile wars about combining amplifiers with speakers. But if anything: there are good Adam A8x studio monitors nearby, connected to a high-quality interface (DAC), i. E. there is something to compare. The main advice that I can give to everyone who chooses is to look for a hi-fi salon in your city, there is usually a room for wiretapping there. And compare yourself. This greatly broadens the horizons and helps to make the right choice, and even bypass many hours of digging on the Internet. This has been advised a thousand times, but it won’t hurt again: it’s better to listen to it yourself once than to read other people’s stories on the Internet 100 times. in the photo - with and without grills

Pros
  • Of course - the sound. I compared it with the older series (twice as expensive) - I didn’t see the point in paying. Great acoustics on 8" pancakes, good pitch over the entire range, detail Combinations of quality and price. This range (approximately $800-1200 is considered a compromise, but it is also very good in terms of return for money - further the price of the lines grows exponentially and the quality increases much more slowly than the price) "Two designs for the price of one" - classic "black boxes" in _seconds_ turn into something a la high-tech when you remove the grills. Grills on magnets, are removed and returned instantly.
Cons
  • Screw connectors look pretty simple and cheap. The finish of the cabinets may seem rustic, just like cabinet furniture. Although mine looks good. The combination of 8" pancakes and a rear phase (and powerful bass in general) in real unprepared rooms can do more harm to buzzing bass due to problems with the acoustics of the room itself (any speakers will have it, just keep in mind and read about preparing and placing speakers in small rooms) Psychological complexes "I bought not the most expensive" :)

Guys, I advise everyone! of course the top and middle are worse than the 8000 model. but there is a price tag.
