Review on Bestop 7540015 TrekStep Side-Mount - Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra 1500/2500/3500 (2001-2018) - Ideal for Either Side by Kaveen Reyes

I bought the passenger side for $130 so it was a real bargain or maybe worth as much as it should. I don't understand why this is so expensive for everyone. The instructions were not as good as reported elsewhere. I had to guess how the linkage was attached to the frame mount and of course my guess was 180 degrees wrong so I had to take it apart and try again. Oddly they tell you you must have a 20mm head which I don't have so I ordered a shock deep seat which was supplied as I don't have a shock deep seat. Well, you don't need a 20mm head. All of this to say that it worked fine when on, despite a tight squeeze between the small fender at the front of the wheel arch and the step of my 2021 F150. I'd rather take the step further, but don't want to make cuts to trim the pieces. I'm 6ft 2" tall and have an F150 4x4. I can't touch the bottom of the bed in the middle. I can only reach the bottom about 1/3 of the way. It's a big help, but it would be nice if it was bigger to extend my reach. All in all a decent product that would help with a little work on the instructions. A drawing that clearly shows how the two pieces fit together would have saved me some time and kept me from muttering nasty words under the truck.
