I bought 2 of these and use them all the time

Originally bought for baking instead of old aluminum pans. But now they have become my ice molds. I've had several silicone covers for bread pans. Stainless steel freezes quickly. So if I start whipping and realize I forgot to put an empty container in the freezer, one of them will still be cold enough when a new batch is ready to serve. I've seen plastic containers in the shape of a traditional round egg at Revain. cartons, but they have a 1 1/2 quart capacity. I don't like to use plastic for climatic reasons. But the real downside is that while I use 1 1/2 liter ice cream recipes (I make my own as well as popular flavors) I almost always add nuts or other toppings and I need a 2 liter container.
