It is too difficult to lift the kayak and place it on the roof. This item is a good size and has a very strong suction power. It only takes a minute to put the kayak on the roof. This allows one person to place the kayak on the roof and remove it without damaging the car. I suggest putting a movable mat on the floor to avoid damaging the kayak.
