I am happy with how they fit my slim 8 year old. Size 7 usually fits his leg length but is always too big in the waist. His waist could easily fit a 6 and maybe even a 5, but these sizes tend to be too short. I bought 7 Slim and the waist is perfect no need to adjust it. The length is good too, now it's a little long, but it won't be a tide until next spring!
